Dentro de la programación del curso 25/26, se os informa de la siguiente Actividad de Orientación Académica y Profesional de la Escuela Superior de Ingeniería, gestionada por el profesor D. Andrés Muñoz Ortega, perteneciente al Departamento de Ingeniería Informática, por si fuera de vuestro interés:

Título: Play with the HyBEAR🐻. Algorithms for remote sensing and ML applications.

Ponente: Mr. Bogdan Ruszczak

Bogdan Ruszczak is a machine learning aficionado with a strong university background. He received his M.Sc. degree in computer science from the Opole University of Technology and his Ph.D. from the Wroc?aw University of Technology, Poland. He is an assistant professor in the Faculty of Computer Science at the Opole University of Technology. His research interests include image processing, hyperspectral image understanding, sensor measurement modeling, machine learning, and deep learning. He has over 10 years of programming experience, working as a machine learning specialist for KP Labs, European Space Agency projects, and QZ Solutions, among others. He also acquired and led several R&D international and national grants.

Breve resumen de la actividad:

Pop in on the conference if you are interested in machine learning methods and remote sensing!!

We will introduce the HyBEAR🐻- a nice Playground for Spectral- and Spatial-Wise Machine Learning Models for Remote sensing algorithm evaluation, testing efficient algorithms, and scientific discovery.

We will cover several machine learning and deep learning methods that could be applied to this framework.

We will also discuss what benefits we could gain from spectral-wise models. Or how to get a spatial advantage while working with this framework.

Several examples will be discussed, takeaways will be provided – including datasets and code!
