Finaliza el curso “Finite Element Simulations in linear and nonlinear mechanics (Basic)” 12 December 2019

Finite Element Simulations in linear and nonlinear mechanics (Basic)
Teacher: Prof. Dr. Armin Huss (Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences)
Timetable: 10, 11 and 12 December 2019 (10:00 – 13:30)
Content: A summary about the basics of the Finite Element method will be given. Examples of linear Finite Element simulations will be discussed, also using symmetries in modelling. The basics of mechanical nonlinearities will be derived with a focus on geometrical nonlinearities such as large deflections and mechanical stability such as buckling. Depending on the students background, individual projects could be discussed. Important note: The course is focused on computer simulation, using HyperWorks™ (software and license will be provided). Bringing own laptop is recommended. Laptops can also be borrowed from ESI Library. Do not worry about the OS. Student version is available at https://altairuniversity.com/free-hyperworks-2017-student-edition/

Dirigido a: Alumnos de grado y posgrado.
